*laughs* There are so many ways things can go from this thing. ^^;; But yeah, I agree Naru would not be great at both physical + expressing emotion. In fact, I don't think he'd do well on the *expressing* at all in the verbal sense. It just doesn't really seem like him. :P My own impression is a little more physical contact or feeling more comfortable with physical contact (compared to the 1+ mins of frozen person after someone takes his arm).
As it is, if you've noticed, Mai said she's confessing, but she didn't actually *say* it, so Naru has a definite 'out' or 'let's be a pain' point regardless of how 'evil' you read into the thing. :P Me, I have this image a week later of evil scientist reading by one of the bookcases in his office while unsuspecting Mai puts tea on his desk... ^^;
(BTW, the J version really shouldn't go verbal. As much as there's more verbal expression these days, it's... well it sounds ill in Japanese to the point of run away ewwww. ^^; )
